Märklin gauge 00 (H0) Pullman car 349 Wagons-Lits, green-yellow, tinplate construction, 1937 Pullman car, gauge 00 (H0), by Märklin, article number 349, in tinplate construction. Green and yellow livery with the lettering 'Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits et des Grands Express Européens'. Version with claw couplings and cellophane windows. Played-with condition appropriate to age. The absence of smaller, delicate add-on parts cannot be entirely ruled out. The Pullman car 349 reproduces a saloon car of the International Sleeping Car Company (CIWL) and is among the older tinplate models by Märklin. Märklin introduced the car in 1937 in ivory and dark turquoise; from 1938 to 1939 a version in ivory and ultramarine blue followed. The present piece is the first version of 1937 with claw couplings (Koll's Kompaktkatalog Märklin 00/H0, 1983, no. 349, variant 1). A collector's piece of classic tinplate railways. On the underside a red stamp 'A. Trute …', partly covered by the collector's label. Recorded in the consignor's collection index since 1982. German Description Märklin Spur 00 (H0) Pullmanwagen 349 Wagons-Lits, grün-gelb, Blechausführung, 1937 Pullmanwagen der Spur 00 (H0) von Märklin, Artikelnummer 349, in Blechausführung. Grün-gelbe Lackierung mit der Aufschrift „Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits et des Grands Express Européens“. Ausführung mit Klauenkupplungen und Cellophanfenstern. Bespielter, altersgemäßer Zustand. Das Fehlen kleinerer, filigraner Anbauteile kann nicht gänzlich ausgeschlossen werden. Der Pullmanwagen 349 bildet einen Salonwagen der Internationalen Schlafwagen-Gesellschaft (CIWL) nach und gehört zu den älteren Blechmodellen von Märklin. Märklin brachte den Wagen 1937 in Elfenbein-Dunkeltürkis heraus; 1938 bis 1939 folgte eine Ausführung in Elfenbein-Ultramarinblau. Das vorliegende Stück ist die Erstausführung von 1937 mit Klauenkupplungen (Koll’s Kompaktkatalog Märklin 00/H0, 1983, Nr. 349, Variante 1). Ein Sammlerstück klassischer Blecheisenbahn. Unterseitig ein roter Stempel „A. Trute …“, teilweise vom Aufkleber des Sammlers verdeckt. In der Sammlerkartei des Einlieferers seit 1982 verzeichnet.
