Rome, 1887-1925. - Ricciotti Garibaldi (Montevideo 1847-1924) was a soldier like his father, Giuseppe Garibaldi (1807-1882), and fought alongside him in the Italian Revolution. Contains: 3 letters from Garibaldi R. dated 24 April 1887, 12 May and 27 July 1889. 2 on his official letterhead as a member of the Italian Parliament and 1 on paper with a black border and printed monogram. With 1 addressed envelope. - 'In fact I want you to learn Italian ... my dear children amuse yourselves as much as you can while you are young - as life becomes anything but amusing as you grow older.' - 2 letters from "Harry" (Harriet) on letterhead of the hospital 'Ospedale Giuseppe Garibaldi Isola Maddalena'. - Requests the printing block for Giuseppe's tomb on the nearby island of Caprera, the family seat.
