Montres Helevetia - Observatory Chhronometer (*) A rare chronometer movement in a wooden case for observatory testing - with original Bulletin de Marche de l'Observatoire Astronomique et Chronométrique de Neuchâtel, issued on 26 November 1956 and three extracts from the chronometer archives by Andreas Hidding Movm. No. 794728, Cal. 34 B. L, Dimensions 47 mm, circa 1956, Weight 82 g, Origin Schweiz, Original certificate Case: Steel, glazed movement. Dial: Enamel. Movm.: Bridge movement, lever escapement, Guillaume screw balance. This chronometer movement took part in the Neuchâtel Observatory’s chronometer competition in 1954, 1955 and 1956 in the "Chronomètres de Poche" and "Chronomètres de Poche 1er Prix" categories. Here, it came 115th out of 120 chronometers in 1954, 40th out of 112 in 1955 and 202nd out of 213 in 1956. The seconds dial still bears the marker of the visual check. Case: very good.
