Its roots can be traced back to the Collège industriel, founded in 1894; this institution later developed into the École d’horlogerie du Sentier and ultimately into the present-day École technique de la Vallée de Joux (ETVJ). The École d’horlogerie du Sentier itself started on 1 June 1901. The school is particularly significant in the context of the Vallée de Joux, which had already become an important centre of high-quality mechanical watchmaking and grand complications during the 19th century. Names such as Audemars, Piguet, LeCoultre and Meylan are closely associated with the region. Case: very good. Dial: very good. Movm.: very good, capable of running, cleaning recommended.
