Tudor - Prince Oysterdate Submariner A diver's very attractive wristwatch with date Ref. 79090, Cal. ETA 2824-2, Case No. B432037, Dimensions 40 mm, circa 1992, Origin Schweiz, Original box, Original certificate, Accessories Case: Steel, screw back with marking 79090, engraving "Original Oyster Case By Rolex Geneva", bidirectional rotating black bezel, screwed Rolex "Triplock" winding crown, steel "Tudor" bracelet ref. 78500 in very good condition, diver's extension link, endlinks stamped 380B, "Tudor" fliplock deployant clasp U1, total length 160 mm, additional steel "Tudor" bracelet ref. 9315 with "Tudor" fliplock deployant clasp P9. Dial: Black, luminous indexes (tritium), luminous Mercedes hands (tritium). Movm.: Automatic. This attractive timepiece is in very good condition. The case shows only very few signs of wear. The tritium dial and hands are perfect, with the exception of a small crack in the hour hand, which is not considered critical. The movement is also in very good condition, though we still recommend a service. The watch comes with its box and punched papers with green stripe, dated 1992. 1969 marked the beginning of the second generation of the Tudor Submariner, an era that lasted until 1999, which was when the series appeared in the catalogue for the last time. From 1989 on reference 79090 replaced the Tudor Submariner without date and was available with blue or black dials and matching bezels. The model featured luminous Mercedes hands, with the Tudor logo placed just underneath 12 o’clock and the waterproof label just above 6 o’clock. The indexes at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock are triangular instead of square. Case: very good, slightly worn. Dial: very good. Movm.: very good, capable of running, cleaning recommended. Please note that leather straps made from endangered or protected species - such as alligator, crocodile, or lizard - are used in our catalogue or on our website for illustration purposes only. For customs-related reasons, such straps cannot be shipped outside the EU.
