Rolex - Date An elegant vintage wristwatch with centre seconds and date Ref. 1500, Cal. 1570, Case No. 2700818, Dimensions 35 mm, circa 1970, Origin Schweiz Case: Steel, screw back with marking 1500 and 1/71, screwed "Twinlock" winding crown, steel "Jubilee" bracelet in good condition, endlinks stamped 574, later Oysterclasp folding clasp E (1980), total length 185 mm. Dial: Great matt black dial, applied faceted indexes with luminous dots (tritium), luminous baton hands (tritium). Movm.: Automatic. The "Oyster Perpetual Date" reference 1500 is slightly younger and a little smaller than the Datejust. This fine watch comes in a 35 mm steel case and features a magnificent, delicately shimmering black dial with slim indexes as well as a date magnifier – certainly an exceptionally attractive, classic Rolex timepiece for every occasion. The watch is in excellent condition, showing only minimal signs of wear. The matt black dial and matching hands are in superb condition, as is the bezel. The movement is very clean, features a blue balance spring (!) and starts running straight away – a lovely watch! Case: very good, slightly worn. Dial: very good. Movm.: very good, capable of running, cleaning recommended.
