Patek Philippe’s Reference 3561 is a coveted collector’s piece, prized for its extreme rarity and for its unique status as the only vintage Patek Philippe wristwatch fitted with a sapphire display back. Produced between 1968 and 1970, the model is believed to have been made in approximately 150 examples, all crafted exclusively in 18 k yellow gold. It is powered by the legendary automatic calibre 27-460, regulated in five positions and bearing the Geneva Seal. A screw-down sapphire caseback, in this example to reveal the iconic Cal. 27-460, was entirely unprecedented for a vintage watch of this era. Case: very good, slightly worn. Dial: very good.
