Gold ground, chrysography. The gilt-silver riza with engraved decoration, marked with the Cyrillic maker's mark 'AR'. Beneath the presently visible painting is an earlier depiction of the same iconographic composition, presumably dating from the 17th century. During a later restoration, this earlier paint layer was overpainted. The underlying earlier composition is clearly visible in the X-radiograph. Minor retouching. 25.7 x 21.5 cm.

(Riza) Holztafel mit einer Rückseiten-Querleiste. Kowtscheg, Eitempera auf Kreidegrund, Goldgrund, Chrysographie. Silber, vergoldet, Gravurdekor. 25,7 x 21,5 cm. Riza punziert mit Meisterzeichen 'AR' in Kyrillisch. Unter der heute sichtbaren Malerei befindet sich eine ältere Darstellung derselben ikonographischen Komposition, die vermutlich aus dem 17. Jahrhundert stammt. Im Zuge einer späteren Restaurierung wurde diese ältere Malschicht überarbeitet. Auf der Röntgenaufnahme ist die darunterliegende frühere Komposition deutlich erkennbar. Min.
