Rückseitig auf der Leinwand signiert, datiert und Werkangaben. Philippe Pasqua ist Autodidakt und arbeitet außerhalb der akademischen Traditionen; das durchgehende Thema seines Werks sind das menschliche Gesicht und der menschliche Körper, in großem Format und aus großer Nähe. Die Wirkung entsteht aus dem Zusammenspiel von Maßstab und Auflösung. Von nahem sind es Linien, Wischspuren und Spritzer, aus der Entfernung ein Gesicht von großer physischer Präsenz.
